All About Me

Hi, I'm Zoey!

My Myers–Briggs result is ENTJ-T.

Before embarking on the UX design path, I worked in the media and advertising field for seven years in China, my first year working in a branding department in a company of the world's 500 fortune and the following years developing in a digital media agency.

This experience has brought me passion and achievement, but it might also leave me with some burnout in my career trajectory. At that time, one of my friends announced she would continue to have a master's degree in service design. That was the first time I realized that design is not only for creating visual assets but also could refer to constructing a system, a service or a concept. Our conversation on "design" inspired me and led me to know what " design " is in the wide definition.

Therefore, it brings me to UX design. In the past year, I completed interactive media management at Centennial College and gained solid fundamental knowledge about the UX design industry. Also, I worked in a collaborative team to implement two UX-related projects and joined many workshops to improve my design thinking skills.

UX design is a discipline we should keep continuing to learn something new. The emerging trend is updated daily; we could follow the news and practice more to push us proactive in this field! I believe my passion for UX will lead me to a further place.

In my leisure time, I enjoy travelling with my husband. Watching animal videos could bring me much joy, like dogs, pandas, elephants or penguins. Also, I am intrigued by getting inspiration from museums and exhibitions. Teamlab is my favourite interactive exhibition.
